Muay Boran
Muay Boran is a traditional Thai martial art that predates modern Muay Thai. It was developed for battlefield combat and incorporates a wide range of striking techniques using punches, elbows, knees, and kicks, along with grappling and throws. Unlike the sport-focused Muay Thai, Muay Boran emphasizes more lethal and unregulated techniques, making it more diverse and historically rooted in self-defense and warfare.
Khan Grading
Khan Grading is a systematic way of assessing your understanding and proficiency in Muay Boran. It is essentially the equivalent of a belt grading in other martial arts such as Karate and Taekwondo.
Here at Yod Muay Fitness, we offer Khan Grading opportunities to recognize and benchmark your efforts and understanding of the art.
Our Khan Grading is accredited by the prestigious Kru Muay Thai Association which is recognized by the Ministry of Culture in Thailand.
More information on the different Khan levels can be found here.
